Back in the Saddle

We still need to finish painting the dining room and kitchen, but I've already mentally moved on to the front bedroom, which serves as our office and study. We've spent the past two evenings holed up in there, me working on the program for this year's Miss Bay Area pageant and Jose working on homework for the math class he's taking at UHCL. It's nice to finally have a good workspace that we can both share. I want to make it awesome, like all the studies and workspaces I see on the crafty and designer blogs that I read. We shall see.

Today has been rough so far. It's my first day back in the office after more than 3 weeks of working the mission, followed by vacation, followed by an offsite training class, followed by being sick, followed by an all-day meeting yesterday. (Whew. That was a lot of stuff.) It is tough to be back at my desk all day after all those other exciting things, so I'm just glad tomorrow is Friday.
