Shifted

I am 100% shifted onto a schedule where I stay up until 4 a.m. and sleep until noon. It would be great if the shuttle could go ahead and launch and justify this crazy schedule, which I'm keeping because I'm working the night shift for this mission. It's just plain boring to stay up in a quiet house. Jose is soundly asleep in the bedroom and I wish I could join him. Instead, I wander around the house. I look out the window, but there is nothing to see on our quiet street. I sit on the couch and think. Over the past 5 nights after Jose has gone to bed, I have watched TV, surfed the internet, sent emails with odd timestamps, cleaned the kitchen, done laundry, read a book, and painted half of the dining room. I am bored of staying up until 4 a.m. with no good reason. So please, STS-128, let's get you off the ground tonight!
